For many years Back Bay Mission staff members traveled to local church congregations to provide the famous "Shrimp Boil" dinner as a means of sharing information and news of this ministry. These opportunities provided mission education for hundreds of people each year.

Since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf community in August of 2005, it has been difficult for Back Bay Mission to continue this tradition. It is our hope that at sometime in the future we will once again travel the roads, and tell our story through "Shrimp Boil" dinners.

Other resources have been developed to tell the story of the Mission. A new DVD is now available that shows information about the storm and damage to the Gulf coast region. We have printed materials available as well as bulletin inserts and other materials that lift up the work of the Mission.

Back Bay Mission has Board Members and Development Associates throughout the country willing to speak at your church or provide some materials. We also encourage members of local congregations to come to Back Bay Mission for a visit when you are nearby, and to send volunteer work campers here for an experience that will stay with them for a lifetime.
